Washington Alloy ER70S-6 is a premium mild steel TIG (GTAW) welding rod designed for general-purpose carbon steel welding and fabrication. It contains higher levels of manganese and silicon for increased deoxidizing power, helping produce smooth, clean welds even when working with less-than-perfectly cleaned steel. The high silicon content also improves weld-pool fluidity and bead appearance.

The ER70S-6 is ideal for heavier-gauge mild steel fabrication, repairs, structural work, tanks, truck bodies, farm equipment, pipes, and general shop fabrication. The rods are embossed with the ER70S-6 classification for easy identification.
