Washington Alloy E309L-16 is a low-carbon stainless steel stick electrode designed for welding stainless steel to stainless steel, as well as joining stainless steel to mild or carbon steel.

The E309L-16 electrode produces an austenitic-ferritic weld deposit with good crack resistance and improved resistance to intergranular corrosion. Its easy arc starting and re-starting, low spatter, and self-releasing slag make it suitable for a variety of welding applications.
