Washington Alloy ER309/309L is a stainless steel TIG welding rod designed for joining stainless steel to stainless steel as well as stainless steel to carbon and low-alloy steels. The ER309/309L alloy provides excellent weldability and is particularly useful for dissimilar-metal welding applications.

ER309L has a reduced carbon content compared with ER309, helping provide improved resistance to intergranular corrosion caused by carbide precipitation. It is also well suited for buttering passes and overlay applications.

The convenient 1 lb mini pack is ideal for welding students, welding schools, repair work, fabrication, maintenance, and smaller TIG welding projects.
