Washington Alloy ER70S-6 is a copper-coated mild steel TIG welding rod designed for welding carbon and low-alloy steels. Its high levels of manganese and silicon provide excellent deoxidizing properties, making it a good choice when welding steel with less-than-perfect surface preparation. The high silicon content also helps produce a smooth, clean-looking weld bead with minimal post-weld grinding.
